Technical Engineering, Business Development, International Procurement, Investment Banking, Finance, Legal, Strategy Consulting related to all aspects of major international project structuring, financing, LoCs, procurement execution – across Europe, Middle East and Africa, Hong Kong, Russia and China.
Max Abitbol
President & CEO
Max Abitbol, a French national, has been active in the Energy, Power and Oil & Gas sectors for more than 30 years. He has been working with the ABB Group in various positions including being responsible for ABB’s operations in the Middle-East, Africa and France. In 5 years under his management, the ABB MEA region grew from $1.8 billion to $6 billion revenue with 25,000 employees.
Max was also a member of the management committee of ABB Europe. After leaving ABB in 2005, he took over the Bateman/Litwin Group when it was sold to Stolt at zero value, and in 2008 under his management Bateman/Litwin was introduced to the London stock market and with a backlog of over $3 billion in projects.
He was also personally responsible for several landmark achievements in the Energy sector in Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. Recently, Max has been working with a privately owned Energy Group as well as with a Hedge Fund where he has played a leadership role in a number of
their investment initiatives.
Max holds several directorships of international companies and has a chartered accountant degree from l’Ecole Nationale de Commerce in France and an MBA in Finance from Hartford University in the USA.
Jacques Degouve de Nuncques
Partner
Jacques Degouve de Nuncques, a French national, has over 30 years of experience in development, banking and finance, acquired mainly with Citibank/Citigroup in Riyadh, Hong Kong and London and with the industry (ABB, Lummus) in Zurich and The Hague.
When with ABB Lummus in The Hague Jacques was in charge of coordinating multiple large procurement projects both in the upstream and downstream oil industry for an aggregate amount of 8.5bn USD.
Earlier in his career he also occupied several positions at Citibank in Europe, Middle East and Asia, first in a commercial role and then as an investment banker (as senior credit/security officer) and thereafter became a senior vice president at ABB Ltd. Zurich, responsible for a team of professionals arranging financing for power generation and transmission projects as well as downstream oil & gas and petrochemical projects in Europe, Middle East, Russia and China.
He is also a member of the Advisory Board of Swicorp Joussour.
Jacques holds a master’s degree in Finance from Essec (Ecole Superieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales) in Paris.
Andrew Loken
Vice President
Andrew Loken has been working in Procurement Outsourcing & Strategy Consulting for over 18 years.
Between 2004 and 2011, Andrew built the Procurement Outsourcing practices for 4C Associates and buyingTeam, being Managing Partner and Managing Director Europe respectively. He has sold, implemented and managed Procurement Outsourcing contracts for blue chip organisations for a total of over €3bn of annual spend under contract.
As one of the early developers of Procurement Outsourcing in the UK, he has made many contributions to the procurement outsourcing press, and was featured as “Mister Outsource” by the Procurement Leaders Magazine in 2010.
His clients include a number of major international organisations, including AstraZeneca, BG Group, Cadbury/Kraft, De La Rue, La Caixa, O2, Prudential, Swiss Bank Corporation and United Biscuits. Previous to Procurement Outsourcing, Andrew was a Strategy Consultant with Mitchell Madison Group (spin-off of McKinsey), where he played a leading role in building their operations in Spain.
Originally an Electrical & Mechanical engineer, Andrew has also worked in the Nuclear Power industry as a technical engineer.
He holds a European MBA from the EAP-ESCP European School of Management (Oxford, Madrid, Paris), a Bachelor of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sussex, and speaks English, French and Spanish.
